Paint job - spoke too soon

So much for this morning's post entitled "getting there now". I popped to the boat yard at lunch time to check on progress, and my new paint has been damaged. It was covered with a plastic sheet before it was 100% dry (to shield it from overspray), and the sheet stuck to it in places, ruining the finish.

This *may* not be a bad thing, as the guys working on it said that they may decide to coat it with lacquer to resolve the issue. Alternatively, they will have to apply another coat of paint. Either way, I figure another protective coat on my boat is good really - may mean it takes a few days longer to finish though, time shall tell.

My boat is coming along nicely now, the prep. work is almost complete at last. She has been sanded and smoothed, and is almost ready for primer now.

This morning, I became a proud auntie for the second time. This gorgeous little girl weights 7lb 1oz, but has not yet been named.
